+ The first game I have ever watched on KCal 9 HD. It was a grand experience. If only Chick were still around...
+ Kobe looked more aggressive early in this game than any game I've seen so far this season. The ball seemed to stop moving when it got to him in the first quarter. He was individually efficient though. And as the EIGHT PLAYERS IN DOUBLE FIGURES stat will attest, it didn't affect the rest of the team too adversely.
+ When Bynum gets that baby hook dropping, he is seriously effective. It's funny though because sometimes it's just off. Not by much, mind you. He has nice tough in general so it's not like he's clanging it off the back board. But some nights it just seems like every shot he takes saunters on the rim for a second and refuses to fall through. Tonight was not one of those nights and hopefully with more touches, he can find more consistency.
+ That move that Farmar put on Tinsley, Granger, and JO was nasty. He caught the ball at the right block on a jump pass from Kobe. He went middle and threw the up fake. Tinsley bit hook, line, and sinker. Then Farmar continued to the under portion of the up-and-under as Jermaine O'neal slid across from the weak side and Granger left Kobe on the wing to try and block the shot from behind. Then at the last moment, Jordan whipped the ball right past JO's head to a wide open Bynum for the easy dunk. Just another pretty play by a dude who is starting to make some noise.
+ Speaking of pretty plays, that dunk that Vlad Rad tried to throw down a couple of plays after Farmar's, was pretty fucking bad. He basically just threw the ball at the rim. Seriously, that's what it looks like when I try to dunk.
+ Did I mention 8 players in double figures? That's like, at least 80 points.
+ Luke might be finding his bearings on the second unit. His last two games:
10 pts (3-4), 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 TO
11 pts (4-7), 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 0 TO
+ The players seem pretty bummed about losing Cook. I bet you he's the life of the party off the court. He probably smokes a shit load of weed too. But apparently Mo Evans and Bynum were really close friends and Luke Walton and Cook were the Laker's answer to Scrubs' Turk and JD.
+ Remember, we lost twice to Milwaukee last year and in one of them Michael Redd lit Kobe up bad. I hope Kobe remembers that.
